Air conditioning and Heating

Unfortunately, as a historic Georgian, family-owned hotel, we don’t have air conditioning in our rooms. As much as it is something we would like to provide, the installation costs would be prohibitive.

However, we do have fans at reception so in the few weeks that we have particularly hot weather, we can give you one on request.  Our rooms all have windows that can be opened to allow air to circulate too.

The rest of the year we do have central heating and radiators that you can adjust to suit your needs. If you are unsure about how to do this please don’t hesitate to speak to reception who will be more than happy to assist.

If you arrive early or your journey home is likely to be later then we do have space to store luggage for you on the day of check-in and check-out.

Can you accommodate my dietary requirements?

We offer almond milk as a dairy alternative and gluten-free bread. Please inform us before your arrival of any dietary requirements you may have.

Should you wish to buy items that are more suitable for your diet, we are more than happy to store and prepare them for you. Several supermarkets within walking distance cater for coeliac and dairy-free diets, including Marks and Spencer’s, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
