Before You Book

Is breakfast included?

Yes. A complimentary Full English breakfast is included with all direct bookings and most third-party reservations. Breakfast is served daily between 7:00am and 9:00am.

How far is the hotel from Paddington Station?

The hotel is approximately a 5-minute walk from Paddington Station, providing convenient access to the Heathrow Express, Elizabeth Line, National Rail and London Underground services.

Do you have air conditioning?

No. As a Grade II listed Victorian building, installing traditional air conditioning is not currently practical. Fans are available from reception, and all guest rooms have opening windows.

Are the rooms small?

As a historic Victorian hotel, many of our rooms are smaller than those found in modern developments. Room sizes range from approximately 10m² for a Standard Single Room to approximately 22m² for a Family Suite.

Parking

Do I need to reserve parking?

Parking is complimentary for hotel guests and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance.

Is the hotel inside the Congestion Charge zone?

No. The hotel is located outside both the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones, although the boundary begins nearby. We recommend checking the latest Transport for London guidance before travelling.

Rooms & Facilities

Do all rooms have private bathrooms?

Yes. All guest rooms have private en-suite bathroom facilities.

Do rooms have tea and coffee facilities?

Yes. All rooms include a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar.

Do rooms have hairdryers?

Yes. Hairdryers are provided in every room.

Do rooms have safes?

We provide complimentary safety deposit boxes at reception rather than individual room safes.

Do rooms have refrigerators?

Our Junior Suites include a refrigerator. For medical requirements, reception may be able to store items in our refrigerator upon request.

Can I watch sports channels?

Yes. Sports channels are available in guest rooms.

Accessibility

Can wheelchairs access every area of the hotel?

Unfortunately not. Due to the building's age and listed status, some areas may not be suitable for larger wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Guests with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can advise on the most suitable accommodation.

Is there an elevator/lift?

Yes. The hotel has a passenger lift serving all floors. As a historic Victorian building, some areas may still require the use of steps.

Families

Do you provide cots?

Yes. Complimentary cots are available for infants under 2 years of age, subject to availability.

Children aged 2 years and over must have their own bed and be included in the room occupancy when booking.

Do you have family rooms?

Yes. We offer Family Suites accommodating up to five guests. These consist of interconnecting rooms with a shared private bathroom.

Food & Drink

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

We offer gluten-free bread and almond milk. Please contact us before arrival so we can discuss any dietary requirements and advise what options are available.

Do you offer vegan breakfast options?

A limited selection of vegan breakfast items is available. Please contact us before arrival, and we will be happy to advise.

Mitre House Hotel’s official third-party booking partners are Expedia and Hotels.com.

Some other websites may display Mitre House Hotel rooms through third-party booking networks, affiliate listings or redistribution channels. These websites are not always official direct partners of the hotel.

Bookings made through third-party websites are subject to that website’s own terms and conditions, and the hotel may have limited ability to amend, cancel, refund or resolve payment issues directly.

For direct support, accurate room information and the best available direct rate, we recommend booking through our official website or contacting the hotel directly.

Can I smoke in my room?

No. Mitre House Hotel is entirely non-smoking and non-vaping. Additional cleaning charges may apply where guests smoke or vape indoors.

Are pets allowed?

No. However, assistance dogs accompanying disabled guests are always welcome.

Do you accept group bookings?

We welcome small group bookings of up to four rooms. However, stag parties, hen parties and school groups are not accepted. For bookings of five rooms or more, please contact us directly.

Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

Yes. We offer complimentary luggage storage on both your arrival and departure days. Please speak to reception on arrival for assistance.

 The fastest way to reach us is via the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station, which takes approximately 15 minutes. From Paddington, the hotel is a short 5-minute walk away.

 The Elizabeth Line also provides a direct service between Heathrow and Paddington at a lower cost.

 How do I get to the hotel from Gatwick Airport?

 The Gatwick Express provides a direct service to Victoria Station. From Victoria, you can take the Circle Line to Paddington Station or travel by taxi.

 How do I get to the hotel from Stansted Airport?

 The Stansted Express operates between Stansted Airport and Liverpool Street Station. From Liverpool Street, take the Central Line to Lancaster Gate Station, which is approximately a 7-minute walk from the hotel.

 How do I get to the hotel from London City Airport?

Take the DLR to Bank Station and change onto the Central Line to Lancaster Gate Station. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes.

How do I get to the hotel from Luton Airport?

You can travel via National Rail services to Central London or use coach services that stop at Paddington Station.

How do I get around London?

We recommend using Tfl.gov.uk and Citymapper for journey planning. London buses, Underground services and trams are cashless so you will need a contactless payment card, mobile payment device or Oyster Card.

Is parking available?

Yes. We offer complimentary on-site parking exclusively for hotel guests.

Parking spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

If our car park is full, reception will be happy to advise on nearby parking options.

Is parking guaranteed?

No. While we have 18 parking spaces available, parking cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability on arrival.

Yes. The hotel has a passenger elevator / lift serving all floors.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 2:00 pm.

Check-out is by 11:00 am.

Early check-in and late check-out may be available, subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

Yes. All guest rooms have private en-suite bathroom facilities.

Yes. Every room includes a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar.

Are toiletries provided?

Yes. Shampoo and shower gel are provided in all rooms.

Are hairdryers available?

Yes. Hairdryers are provided in every room.

Are ironing facilities available?

Yes. An ironing room is available for guest use. Please ask at reception for access.

Are baby cots available?

Baby cots are available free of charge, subject to availability.

Do you have accessible rooms?

While we do not have dedicated fully accessible rooms, the hotel does have lift access, and some rooms may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

No. We do not currently offer room service.

Do you have laundry facilities?

The hotel does not offer a laundry service, but there are several reputable dry cleaners and a launderette within walking distance of the hotel.
